Job description:

We are seeking a highly motivated and talented Placement Student to join our software development team. As a Software Developer, you will contribute to the development and configuration of Salesforce applications, gain exposure to web technologies, API concepts, and the latest Azure cloud technologies. This is an exciting opportunity to learn and grow in a dynamic environment while working with cutting-edge technologies.

Ideal skillset:

  • Good knowledge of either Java or C# to demonstrate Object-Oriented Programming
    (OOP) coding abilities.
  • Awareness of web technologies such as JavaScript and CSS.
  • Familiarity with SQL and NoSQL databases is advantageous.
  • Understanding of API concepts and integration principles.
  • Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently and collaborate effectively in a team.
  • Eagerness to learn and adapt to new technologies and methodologies.
  • Attention to detail and a commitment to delivering high-quality work.

You will:

  • Learn and develop skills in Salesforce Development and Configuration.
  • Collaborate with the development team on projects, following an agile methodology.
  • Use Git Source Control to manage code and versioning.
  • Gain full visibility of ProvenWorks’ Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) and actively
    participate in its various stages.
  • Work with Azure Cloud Technologies, including Azure Data Factory and other MS Azure
    cloud infrastructure.
  • Be exposed to enterprise software systems such as Salesforce and Azure SQL Server.
  • Contribute to the design, development, and testing of software applications.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve software defects and issues.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather requirements and understand both
    business and customer needs.
  • Participate in code reviews.
  • Stay up to date with the latest industry trends, technologies, and best practices.


  • Work from ProvenWorks’ office based on campus at Reading University.
