Why do I need to make changes to the Lead conversion process?
When using IndustryComplete, the component will populate a custom lookup field (pw_ic__IndustryCode__c) on the Lead records. When a Lead is converted to an Account, it is preferable to retain this information on the Account record. This can be achieved using the Map Lead Fields functionality in Salesforce Setup.
Map Lead Fields
Go to Salesforce Setup | Object Manager | Lead | Fields & Relationships.
Select Map Lead Fields.
Ensure the Account tab is selected.
Next to Industry Code Lookup, use the picklist in the Account Fields column and select Industry Code Lookup.
Now when converting a Lead, the Industry Code Lookup will be pushed to the Account.
Industry Codes belong to standards that have been developed to assist with classifying industries into categories. There are three main Industry Standards:
Standard Industrial Classification (SIC)
International Standard Industrial Classification (ISIC)
North American Industry Classification System (NAICS)
What Industry Code Standards are available in IndustryComplete?
IndustryComplete supports the following codes out of the box:
You have the ability to customize existing industry code standards or create your own in your organization. See “Customize Industry Codes” for more information.
How to install industry codes
To get started:
Go to App Launcher | IndustryComplete Administration.
Ensure that you’re on the Installation & Settings page.
Under the Install Industries heading, select the industry codes which you would like to install.
Select Install Industries.
Wait for the process to finish.
Customize Industry Codes
During installation, the Industry Codes will be inserted into the pw_ic__IndustryCode__c object that is created with the IndustryComplete managed package. You have the ability to customize these records to meet your organizational requirements as you would any other record in your Salesforce environment.
A common change is to remove the standard name from the industry code name field. This can be beneficial for integrations that don’t expect an industry standard prefix to the codes.
“NAICS17-531210” will be installed with the NAICS17 data set. You can remove the “NAICS17-” from the record name leaving just “531210”.
As the Industry Codes object is created in your organization, you can create custom fields on the object to store relevant information on the codes.

Salesforce have now postponed the enforcement of the Release Update ‘Enable Secure Static Resources for Lightning Components’ indefinitely. Due to a number of issues that were introduced, their advice is now “Don’t enable it”. We recommend all organizations should follow this advise.
The initial issue has been resolved however another issue has been introduced which has caused a further delay to the forced enablement of this Release Update. Full information on the issue is logged via this known issue.
An issue has been introduced by Salesforce with their latest Release Update‘Enable Secure Static Resources for Lightning Components’ which has resulted in Salesforce having to delay the forced enablement to Summer’21. When enabled, Aura components provided within managed packages that make reference to static resources also packaged with the solution result in Cross-Origin Resource Sharing (CORS) issues.
A quick way to check whether this affects you is by analyzing the browser console for CORS errors when you try to use your Aura component once the Release Update is enabled (example below displaying the AddressTools override when the Release Update is enabled).
Salesforce have officially acknowledged that this is not desired behavior and have delayed the enforcement of this Release Update until Summer’21 with the aim to have a fix completed and available in Spring’21. The official Salesforce release notes have been updated to reflect this.
You can also track the known issue. By using the This Issue Affects me, you will receive updates from Salesforce as they work on resolving the problem.
This Release Update affects AddressTools & IndustryComplete. We suggest disabling this Release Update until Salesforce have released the update resolving the issue. For more information, contact firstname.lastname@example.org.

What is IndustryComplete?

You can even attach multiple industries to your accounts. Want to try out IndustryComplete? It’s on the AppExchange!
NAICS, SIC and ISIC are all systems for industry classification. NAICS is more country-specific than the other two which will be clarified below, but all data collected is accurate and authenticated.
NAICS stands for the North American Industry Classification System and is used to collect statistical data for analysing and distributing for the US business economy. All NAICS codes have 6-digits and are part of a hierarchical system whereby the top sector, (Level 1) is the least specific to the industry and Level 5 is the most specific, directing users to the desired industry.
NAICS groups services which do similar things such as service or goods production together and by being for government use, the results are exact and reliable.
SIC stands for Standard Industrial Classification and uses 4- digits to categorize industries. These industries are then classified into 4 levels.
SIC is mainly used for business targeting the private sector, as it assembles together industries based on production or demand.
ISIC means the International Standard Industrial Classification of All Economic Activities, and is the system in which data is classified on both international and national levels. It is structured in a hierarchical 4-level classification system.
ISIC provides data that assists in employment demographics including enterprises as well as statistical national accounts.
